caribou and bisons and ravens and chipmunks (squirrels) and very expensive 2-4's

Hi friends! we're home from yellerknife. First I would just like to thank Courtney and Joe. You guys are the best buds ever. I owe you a trip to Toronto filled with dinners and beers and tours and some kind of bug bites, a lot of bug bites. oh and cured meats and dips etc etc.

air canada is pretty dope these days. love these personal screens they're rocking. jogee and I didn't have to argue once about what to watch. it was heavenly.

The Yellowknife airport is just a wee one, so there was some runway walking going on when we arrived and departed. the plane only seated like 12 people too, so it was semi rock star i must say. minus the free booze and drugs and long hair and stuff. lots of scary turbulence though.

the cockpit was open when we got on, so i acted like this was my first time on a plane and asked to take pics. they were pretty sweet about it. almost too sweet, i felt like he wanted me to take a seat on his lap and press some buttons even. definitely not a good idea. would have been a good photo op though.

of course i want brussels griffons now! you dont even need to ask me! canada day shirt kills me. so adorable. we hit up wing night at a pub in town. i had one of those "slippery little suckers" moment and lost a wing mid bite. they were very saucy. Courtney's joe really knows how to party. I had the spins in a pretty big way when we got home that night. drank one too many kokanee's. mmm i love kokanees. i dont know why we dont buy them more often?

cue sight seeing!

they have polar bears on their garbage cans. i don't really get that. i also think the only reason i took that photo was because i was thinking about how stinky our driveway was going to be when we got back. damn garbage strike!

how could you not want to live in one of these house boats? tell me! how!? they look so magical and psychedelic. i bet there's record players and incense and kittens in all of them. and maybe a bread maker and lots of different kinds of slippers to wear. mmm a bread maker. court - remember how you said you were going to buy one in walmart? i cant stop thinking about them. cheese bread!

look at those neat old pictures behind us. classic.

we went looking for bisons, but this is the only one we saw. :(

we did find this gorgeous water hole though in the middle of nowhere, where i took a pee at and complained about not having any toilet paper. my city girl vibe came out right around then. i can't deal with pee in my underwear. not pleasant. joe took pics of me with my pants down but im refraining from posting those. they are a bit too nakes for the internet i think.

that is some THICK BACON.

while jogee was in this store being weird, i was across the street buying some sweet overalls.

ok that's enough for today.
